Summary:
Joshua trees frame the white walls of Desert Bloom, a new home in Joshua Tree designed by Wolfgang and Connie Pichler, with a hot tub turned toward deep views. Start the morning on a yoga mat under the covered patio, cool off in the seasonal cowboy tub (closed November through March) and rinse in the outdoor shower. When the air cools, light the propane fire pit and let the hot tub glow under the stars. Two queen bedrooms and two and a half baths, all of it feeling private.
The Space:
Desert Bloom is a newly built home designed by Wolfgang and Connie Pichler. It sits in a neighborhood, but the house and outdoor areas feel very private, with Joshua trees standing around the white stucco walls and long views opening past the yard. Inside, clean white rooms, soft arches and warm wood accents keep the mood calm. Two queen bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms suit couples or a small family, and garage parking with no dirt roads makes arriving as easy as settling in.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The hot tub sits on its own deck beside the house, turned toward deep Joshua Tree views. In the warm months, the cowboy tub next to it is the place to cool down; it is a cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool, and it is closed November through March. Rinse off afterward in the outdoor shower behind its wood-slat screen.
Under the covered patio, a deep sofa and generous seating look out over the desert, and the long propane fire pit is set right there for the evening. Grill on the propane BBQ and eat at the outdoor dining table, toss a round of cornhole while the light goes gold, then end the night in the hot tub as it glows under the stars. The yard is not fully fenced.
-Living Area-
Slide the glass doors open and the living room and patio become one space. A dark sectional faces the smart TV, a lounge chair takes the corner, and big windows bring the Joshua trees indoors. Roll out a yoga mat in the morning, and when the desert cools at night, the heating and air conditioning keep every season comfortable.
-Kitchen and Dining-
The kitchen pairs a dark island with bar stools beneath woven pendant lights, so someone can always keep the cook company. Set the dining table beneath its arched niche for breakfast, or carry dinner out to the outdoor dining patio, where the propane BBQ does most of the work.
-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
Desert Bloom has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The first has a painted arch behind the bed and a glass door to the desert, so you can step outside with your coffee before anyone else is up. The second has warm coral art and its own doorway to the bathroom. There are two and a half bathrooms, with round mirrors, a wood vanity and a walk-in glass shower with a tiled niche.
-Surrounding Area-
Joshua Tree Village and Joshua Tree National Park are the easy outings from Desert Bloom, with Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown, La Copine and the Integratron for the evenings. If you plan to have dinner at Pappy & Harriet's, we strongly recommend booking ahead.

-Wildlife & Safety-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.
