We enjoyed our stay at the City Lodge Bryanston. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was good with a menu with lots of selections. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet.

Clean, friendly and a good location.

We stayed here twice this past month. The hotel is clean, updated and has a good breakfast. The beds are hard, but the room was spotless and the linens crisp and clean. Our only issue was at checkin when they had not reserved my room but did have other rooms on the same booking. They found me a room and all was well. The staff are friendly.

Everything was excellent except for the service at the restaurant. We ordered burgers for 3 people which took nearly 90 minutes to be served!!! I had two very hungry children with me and we especially didn't order out as we didn't want to wait too long - at no stage did anyone apologise nor tell us how long we would have to wait - if we had known he was too busy in the kitchen we could have made an alternative plan.

Disappointing. No water for first day but not due to a fault of the hotel. Room...no telephone. Breakfast...ridiculously expensive.Cafe/Bar hours very poor....only open in afternoon and evening and not at lunch time.Hindsight...there are guest houses and B & B's in the area that offer far better value for money.
