I rarely describe a hotel as a “must-stay,” but this property fully earns that distinction. Service is outstanding. Every staff member — reception, concierge, housekeeping, restaurant team — is professional, courteous, and proactive. The consistency across departments reflects excellent management and training. The team does not simply respond to requests; they anticipate needs. We visited to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I informed the hotel in advance. Upon arrival, we found a beautifully arranged welcome message in the room with a birthday greeting for her. They also prepared a small birthday cake in the fridge. The gesture was thoughtful and sincere, and it made the stay memorable. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. Housekeeping standards were high. Location is another major strength. The hotel sits in the centre of Taoxichuan, within 5–10 minutes’ walk of numerous ceramic shops. On Friday and Saturday nights, the nearby market features many Jingdezhen-based artists. It is ideal for anyone exploring the city’s ceramic culture. The indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna were excellent, especially in winter. Important note: this is the Hyatt Unbound Collection Taoxichuan hotel, not the Hyatt Place next door.

It was pouring rain when we got on taxi to hotel from airport. Taxi driver had no idea what hotel it was n where the location was when I showed the English hotel name and address listed on Expedia. I managed to get the Chinese translation of the English hotel name and address but they were all incorrect. When we arrived at the area called Taoxichuan, even staff from other hotels had no idea. As it turned out, the hotel English name is Hyatt Unbound while the Chinese name is 凱悦臻迭. Expedia must correct the hotel English name followed by the hotel name in Chinese to avoid confusion. Also imperative to get the EXACT address from hotel itself n revise the address on Expedia listing, n warn customers to be sure to show REVISED n CORRECT hotel name n hotel address, both in Chinese, to taxi drivers. It was a scary n unpleasant experience, esp in pouring rain.
