8-minutes Walk to Damascus Gate in Old City

Location! Location! Location! This apartment is a hidden gem. Not only it is 8-minutes away from the Old City Jerusalem to Damascus Gate and New Gate but it offers an experience of living like a locals in a great clean suburban neighborhood. No frills but it has the necessity of having a kitchenette with microwave, small fridge, kitchen sink , counter top stove, dining area, two twin beds, private bathroom and shower and A/C. The price is affordable especially if you need to stay longterm. I stayed 7 days. Love my neighbors. Also walking distance to train to and from Airport , bus station to Bethlehem and centrally located to meeting points when you sign up for big bus tours. If you’re not picky and you’re on a budget, I recommend this place.

No communication

I received no communication at all. Was told an email was sent but I didn't receive anything. It is just a small apartment with nothing whatsoever saying its name or address. Was at the supposed location for 3 hours trying to get contact. Hotels. com was eventually being helpful. But found the room myself 200 metres from the map location. Found it by mistake. Wish I hadn't. Worst place I've ever stayed in. Only plus, it's near the tram stop Damascus gate.

Stay away! Terrible host!

It was about an hour before Shabbat, rainy Friday, we booked for 2 nights and were about to come in. We've texted the host and got a reply that the place was occupied and she missed our reservation! The communication with her was a disaster, only short texts after long minutes of nerve-racking wait and those too were unhelpful and rude. We found ourselves, a religious couple, on the street with no place to stay, an hour before Shabbat! She never even apologized! Please be warned and STAY AWAY from this place and host. The price is cheap but you get NOTHING in return.
