Loekie is the best hostess. So warm and helpfull. Don't mis the home made breakfast, made fresh every morning. We loved the tranquillety at the landhuis and the beautiful sunsets. You feel at home.

Absolutely amazing stay at Plantation Jan Thiel lodge. The lodge has so much character and is located in a beautiful setting. If I could give a Michelin star to Loeki, I would — the breakfasts were out of this world made with fresh local Ingredients and or so flavourful and healthy. All the staff were courteous and very nice.

The hostess was amazing, she is attentive a great conversationalist and exceptional cook! I don’t know how she does it all! The atmosphere, views and variety of commons spaces for where to choose where to relax is great. The resident fur babies (dogs) add a comforting presence as well. Great job from Loeki(manager). Beautiful place to stay nearby Willamsted. We particully loved the swimming pool/the flamingos lake(nearby)/the big table outside where we ate breakfast(good food from Loeki)/ and the front aera where to see the sunset. The manager Loeki, was fantastic! Like visiting your favorite relative. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The setting is very comfortable and relaxing. Close to the salt flats and flamingos which made a great easy walk. This is a gated facility ensuring privacy of the guests. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time staying here, the property was nice and spacious and clean. It has access via a trail to walk down to the salt flats and see the flamingos. The hostess was wonderful and very nice making us a delicious breakfast every morning, as well as giving us great ideas and tips on where to go.

Fantastic and can’t wait to go back. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The entire property is unique and a little paradise on paradise. We liked watching the sunset from the main house patio area. We stayed in the little cottage we’re so comfortable and loved the private pool and outdoor shower. We liked talking with the other guests from all over the world over breakfast and sharing island experiences. It is a very peaceful and quiet place with house animals as an extra bonus.
