I had assumed incorrectly that Zanzistar was on the beach, so when I arrived, I was really disappointed. I felt claustrophobic in the garden which is surrounded on all sides by high fences. The beach bar which is a 5-minute walk away was underwhelming and there were lots of people smoking. Unless you lay in the front row, in the sun, you couldnt really enjoy the sea view. Unlike the photos, our room was very dark and it was impossible not to bring sand into the room without a deck/patio by the door. We only stayed 1 of the 4 nights and cur our losses and stayed elsewhere. On a positive note, Peter, the manager is a great guy and the Kingfish curry was delicious. Sorry to be a naysayer but on Zanzibar, I didn't want to be hemmed in.

Wir haben fünf Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden. Der Service war wirklich erstklassig. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und alle Mitarbeitenden waren jederzeit freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Peter, der super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit war. Außerdem wurde uns ein kostenloser Late Check-out ermöglicht, was für uns ein großer Pluspunkt war. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Es gab ausreichend Ablagemöglichkeiten, ein großes bequemes Bett mit Moskitonetz sowie eine saubere, angenehme Dusche. Besonders schön fanden wir den kleinen Vorgarten, den wir abends gerne genutzt haben. Auch wenn das Hotel nicht direkt am Strand liegt, ist die Beachbar mit Liegen eine tolle Alternative. Dort kann man entspannt im Schatten sitzen und ein kühles Getränk genießen. Das Essen war insgesamt ein echtes Highlight: Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich, die Abendgerichte durchweg lecker und auch die Mittagsgerichte wie Pizza oder Bruschetta mit Gemüse haben uns sehr überzeugt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war unschlagbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen :)

Sooooo schön in Zanzistar! Wir hatten das Zimmer direkt am Strand ... einfach, aber alles da, sicher, sauber und einen unbeschreiblich schönen Blick direkt auf den Strand ... einfach die Türen öffnen und im weißen, weichen Sand stehen! Toll!! Auch das Frühstück war lecker, der Service klasse - Peter hat uns geholfen, für zwei Tage einen Scooter zu mieten ... unbedingt machen! ... und für uns eine Tour durch Jambiani organisiert. Das Personal ist super-freundlich. Highlight war sicherlich auch der Kinoabend unter dem Sternenhimmel und dazu lecker im Hotel zu Abend gegessen. Auf jeden Fall eine 100%-Empfehlung!!
