You'll love waking up to the sight of majestic Gir cows and their tiny calves against the backdrop of the Aravalli Hills. The serenity of the land and its bountiful harvest will make you want to extend your stay for a few more meals and sunsets at Riturus, Jaipur. This place
is part of our family-owned project – "Rituras" (Experience of the Seasons). It is a slice of our traditional, self-sustaining lifestyle, with the cow at its center. The structures here are built with natural, breathable materials like clay, limestone, and other local stones. Our cowshed currently houses four Gir cows and three young calves. Numerous birds from the Nahargarh Forest Reserve welcome us daily from the Aravalis.
Food and Supplies:
The cowshed offers a wide array of dry spices, seasonings, local grains, fresh milk, and ghee. In addition to a regular gas stove, the kitchen is equipped to run on biofuel, with cow dung cakes made year-round on the property. Guests are welcome to harvest and cook their own meals. Alternatively, food can be ordered through local delivery apps or specially curated local food can be requested in advance. The food provided on the property is simple, nutritious, seasonal, and vegetarian.
Other Points of Note
While we don't have air conditioning in the space to try to maintain the sustainability of the space, the rooms are equipped with desert coolers to help combat the summer heat.
As an effort, the property's built environment is intentionally woven into the natural environment of the land. You may find squirrels, ants, birds, and other local fauna sharing the space. Their harmless coexistence will only brighten your day if you manage to spot them. If you spot any rare species, let us know; we'll try our luck too!
Power outages, though rare, are possible; in this case, we have emergency lighting available.
Thank you very much for accommodating our desire to keep the property substance/alcohol free.
We're located on India's Golden Quadrilateral circuit, a 5-minute drive from the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, near the VKI area in Jaipur. So, if you're traveling the highways, reaching us will be extremely convenient. However, cabs can be booked from Jaipur Airport, Railway Station, or Bus Stand for a 30-50 minute ride, depending on traffic and route.
Our location is deliberately simple, next to the city, but not quite there. The village is generally quiet, except for occasional weddings and social events, which are as loud as any other Indian rural setting.
This is a chance to embrace the everyday lifestyle of rural locals – a living, breathing, unique culture all its own. Find out how comfortable you can be, simply put.
