Most of the rooms are small and lack amenities such as, coffee maker, fridge, hooks to hang towels, a place to really unpack. We inquired about a stand to put our luggage on and when they realized how long we were staying gave us a bigger room. This was better as it had a TV and a few more shallow drawers. Still lacked places for our swimsuits to dry, or even a place to hang our towels after a shower. The staff is amazing, the food is great! I can’t say enough good things about that. The hotel is only five months old so hopefully they will add these amenities.

As a Costa Rican who has been visiting Jacó my entire life, I’ve witnessed the town grow busier and more commercial over the years. So discovering Hotel Lia felt like stumbling upon a true oasis amid the hustle and bustle. This beachfront hotel offers something rare in Jacó: a peaceful, safe, and beautifully designed space that feels a bit removed from the chaos, without sacrificing location. The access to the beach is seamless, and the setting itself feels new, fresh, and thoughtfully maintained. Everything was spotless, from the rooms to the common areas, and the pool area was especially lovely. One of the highlights was the staff, they were warm, helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. At one point, they even set things up so we could enjoy the sunset directly from the sand, which was such a memorable touch. The food at the on-site restaurant was surprisingly good, with fair pricing, and it made staying in that much more enjoyable. Honestly, everything about our stay was pleasant and easy. What makes Hotel Lia even more special is its proximity to San José. It’s only a two-hour drive, making it an ideal weekend escape without the long haul that other beautiful beach destinations in Costa Rica often require. All in all, I only have great things to say about this hotel. It’s a rare find in Jacó, and I highly recommend it to anyone, locals or visitors, looking for a stylish, safe, and peaceful getaway just a short drive from San José.

the stay was nice, the staff were very courteous, facilities were great, downside the hot water valve didn't work great in the shower and the hotel new years party music kept me up until approx 4am in morning when i needed to wake up for an 8am zipline trip; otherwise would have gotten a 5star.

The ambiance was amazing. The staff was really nice and helpful. The bar and food are amazing. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5, there are some upgrades needed especially if they’re categorizing themselves as high-end. In every hotel/ resort, until this one you can fined a iron, iron board, hair dryers, and a mini fridge (especially would be nice since it does get pretty hot). They have a weird extra fee for guest; which I’ve never experienced at any other hotel. On my birthday we had to completely switch rooms. Overall, my experience was pretty good minus those inconveniences.

The staff were attentive and very helpful, and having a private pool was definitely a plus. Parking, however, could have been a better experience. Our balcony was shared with three other rooms, which was fine, but I would have preferred it to be more secluded. The property also shares the beach, and unfortunately it felt a bit dirty and messy at times.

To the security guard (can’t remember his name, he wore glasses) that was an excellent support (also helped with our photos). All the staff at Lia Hotel were exceptional. Ok so I am not much of a review writer on any platform but this place deserves me writing about it. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left my experience was unlike any other hotel stay I’ve ever had. Everyone was very serviceable and friendly, I mean above and beyond!!!! All 4 bartenders are phenomenal, made me feel as if I was hanging out with life long friends, all 3 ladies I dealt with at reception were outstanding and accommodating, the room was immaculate, the decore of the entire hotel is very much my stile, very chick, and elegant yet has that laid back Costa Rica feel, this place has a beautiful pool with day beds all around sits right on the beac. I had the pleasure of meeting Nick the owner, something I had never experienced before the man is the embodiment of what his hotel represents, I was told there were some touches still in the making and I can not wait to return and check them out. It was my first time in Jaco and I can say with certainty there is no other hotel that I would be even remotely interested in staying at even if it was for free. Thank you everyone at Lia Hotel for an amazing experience.
