Lovely reception staff, decent restaurant, towels were old and dilapidated but room was basic and clean with a nice balcony. Pool was well manicured and lush and beach is gorgeous and not built up.

Too many insects in the rooms due poor construction and gaps in windows and doors. Pool water not clean. Beach and waves are outstanding - however this is not a place for young children or weaker swimmers to enter the ocean. There is a very steep beach creating a powerful backwash after each wave. Paradise for surfers though. The waves just don't want to stop breaking and are excellent to surf.

Hotel is right on the beach with beautiful sunsets. The staff is very friendly and responsive to guests. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Restaurant has a varied menu with breakfast included. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very chill vibe. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was great. The pool was beautiful which was great since the beach there is not safe for swimming. Convenient location right off route 34, but tucked away enough to be quiet and great views of the beach. Simple but clean rooms.

This was a lovely hotel right on the beach. Easy access to the beach and pool. Quaint and clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was included and they had great options. We had several meals there ad all were tasty. The rooms were comfortable and you could see and hear the ocean. We will definately return. Don't miss this place.

Hermosa Beach in Costa Rica is easily the best ocean swim I have ever had. The waves are massive and completely relentless—just wave after wave. But you need to be a good swimmer if you are going to go in. The currents are very strong. I was wiped out in just five minutes, while some surfers were effortlessly riding them for three hours. It makes sense, though—fighting the edge is where the real workout is, while the deeper water lets you actually ride the energy. The hotel is right on the beach. We landed a day early, cutting the stay at La Fortuna by a day. We got a different room, but Jacob offered me the better room. As it turned out, there was a beach facing room but it was occupied. The following day, he transferred us to that room and didn't even charge us. The service is terrific, the rooms were great and the stay was simply amazing. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Costa Rica.

Right on the beach but away from too much activity. Excellent food and drink options. The pool is also great and the staff are very professional and friendly. Room was clean and had A/C which was needed for humidity.
