We enjoyed our stay at the Seaside Inn, the room was clean and well kept. The staff were great, always very helpful and they have a very nice breakfast, with great staff. We were able to get a handicapped parking space. The only problem we had which would keep us from returning was the difficulty my husband had with gaining access to the beach (no direct ramp). He walks with a cane, sometimes two canes, and was unable to walk up or down the ramp from the covered handicapped parking lot. One of the maintenance staff did show him a back way that he could use which only had a few steps then a long walkway ending up behind the beach restaurant. But it was still not easy for him to access the beach benches. The front entrance on the ground level had steps only, very difficult for him. If there had been a ramp at the entrance that would have made it so much easier for him to gain access to the beach.

The Seaside Inn staff was very attentive and pleasant. We had an issue with the door to our balcony and they immediately offered options to correct the problem. We picked the Seaside for its location and it was perfect, right on the beach, walkable to two good resturants & quick 5 min drive to Fernandina & Fort Clinch.

The beach access is nice. However, there was a strange odor in my hotel room that permeated all my clothes. Also, I killed two roaches in my room. They came out when all the lights were on so that means the place is infested. I told the concierge employee upon check-out.

Always a pleasure to return - the views are excellent. The entire property is just so welcoming. The employees are not only friendly but also professional. The adjacent restaurant in the park just add to the charm of the whole area.

Quaint hotel with a quick walk to the beach. The room I had was a king suite. Very nice room but it did not have an outside view. It was on the ground floor so that was a plus. The staff was friendly and nice.

The Good and The Not So Good

Location is lovely. Staff is nice. But the rooftop AC unit causes a lot of vibration to the top floor rooms. I moved down a floor and ended up being bitten many times in the middle of the night by something, hopefully not bedbugs, but it looks like it might be, Room 203, FYI.

Room barely had an ocean view, thought we had a balcony but didn’t. Our shower door was broken and we were moved to another room - not upgraded. Our new room had a shower door that was designed poorly and difficult to get in and out of. Staffed opened our door TWICE to clean while our room was obviously occupied.
