Smelly rooms

They first gave me a room that was disgusting, not clean, beds weren't made, looked and smelled like someone or something peed all over everything, found out they were supposed to be even using that room, so I don't know what happened there but it gave me the heebie geebies, then gave me an upgrade for the inconvenience, the room was clean and essentially comfortable, but had an odor that I can't describe. I will not be choosing this hotel again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel as a Best Western in past 2 yrs, don’t have any complaints at that time regarding stay. This time…aside from Diamond and Mariah it was pretty disappointing. Walked in and place was dark, around 1pm. Was greeted by Diamond and felt comfortable…after checking into room. Hit by the smell of mildew, I went downstairs and asked for something to spray room with as it was pretty strong smell of mildew. Was given some spray as “ it’s pretty strong and will help” , from maintenance guy. Diamond did offer to move me but I declined as my things were already there with the room sprayed. I didn’t want to be a bother. Came back and wasn’t as bad of smell. Noticed the mildew though at all vents, throughout facility, outlets not holding cord plugged into and lights not working at switch. Again I can deal with. My family member checked in..room smelled worse and I sprayed the spray that was given. Moved canine to my room as spray was “strong”. Came back for the evening and room/rooms smelled bad. Dealt with. Again Diamond offered to move but at this point maybe the whole place was like this. The SMELL OF wEED was VERy STRONG throughout the entire stay. ALL over the interior of facility. Shower was VERY slippery upon stepping in, VERY, shower curtain slid away from rod. And drain plug did not engage in drain position and tub filled. Spotlight over pool shined directly in window even with blind covering window. Lots of mold throughout vents. Disap

The room was clean & cool, all amenities present except a hair dryer which we eventually received after PM Front Desk Gentleman said none available. It was clear he didn't even look b/c when we asked AM Front Desk Diamond in the morning, she gave us one immediately from a drawer filled with them. Diamond's customer service is top-level, thank you! 5 STARS for Diamond!

I have been staying at this property every 3-4 weeks for quite a while. They've always been accommodating and friendly. The last visit has insured I'll not be back. I have called and emailed looking to speak with manager. I have not received a return call. My last stay here I received many (100's) of bedbug bites and when I returned home ended up in urgent care for a massive infection from them. 3 weeks later I'm still on antibiotics and will end up with some scar tissue from how badly I was bitten. Though I had bites all over my body, my right thigh received the worst of it and was swollen to almost twice it's size. I've only ever run into bedbugs once before in my life and it was nothing like this. Itching, burning, bruising, and skin issues that may leave actual pocks in my skin. No return call, no apology, no concern that I won't be back. Sadly, I know all the employees I've been there so often, it had become my home away from home. Time to find a place that cares about the pain and discomfort I've suffered through and the side effects from the antibiotics.
These were the deepest bites. Up close, you can see how deep they are.
