The people there were very helpful (other than not knowing the answers to some questions that they should know, like whether kids pay adult prices for breakfast) and friendly. Yes, the area around the hotel is sadly run down, and there aren't many things to do (anymore) within walking distance. I really hope the area overall can recover, but that's not a reflection of the hotel itself. Unfortunately, the hotel was out of: soap in the lobby bathroom (some was in a cup that you could pour into your hand), as well as paper towels, shampoo and body wash in the shower dispenser, coffee cups, pool towels were out but we got some an hour or so after we asked. Really nice people doing their best in a hotel that was once amazing. I hope they can come back from this, but I feel like they will shut down soon.

The only problem we encountered is not having enough towels we asked for towels , called the front desk twice and never got any. As being a luxury hotel extra towels should be available upon request

The whole experience was very bad. The rooms are dirty, the elevator is dirty. My sheets had holes in them, the room safe had an error code and would not work. I was locked out of my room three times

Hotel is decent and beds were comfy. Bar in hotel is very expensive ($8 for a beer). You also get charged an extra $28 for valet parking that you have to do per night. This hotel is in a not so nice part of Jackson. We did enjoy the Iron Horse Grill around the corner. Greta food, drinks and music.

To start with, there’s no guest parking unless you pay a mandatory $28 per day fee. As I parked in the front of the hotel in an area that appeared to belong to the hotel, saw the attendant who acknowledged me and I went to my room, no call and the hotel requested my car be towed $378.00 later got the car back. No room service was provided during the duration of my stay. The overall experience as I said was very poor and for the fees charged unacceptable.
