Our kids had fun playing in the game room, there were plenty of beds and linens were clean. However the condition of the cabin needed updating and was not the cleanest place we have stayed in. The dock wasn’t functional-missing railings and holes in the baseboards

Check in was straightforward and easy. We had good communication with the host leading up to our stay. The home definitely needs some work (guest shower constantly drips, kitchen faucet is not installed securely, stove range controls aren't consistently working (and they are very uneven), fridge water and ice machine does not work. The property served our needs (a place to crash, BEAUTIFUL view and GREAT lake access); however, we would have been more disappointed in the house's quality and offerings had the weather forced us to stay inside the entire time.

Bugs in kitchen. Shower head leaked due to not being able to be shut off. Coffee pot never cleaned. Grounds left in basket was moldy. Outside deck and entry covered with pine needles and cones. Unpaved road to house had MAJOR ruts. Car bottomed out twice. No pods for dishwasher. No paper towels. Ice maker now functioning.

Booked 2 nights only stayed 1 because of roaches. Arrived on property and found the outside porch area covered in debris and furniture dirty the whole area is pretty unusable without cleaning first. Upon entering you could hear water running. Checked and the rear shower would not turn off at all. Constantly ran the whole time. Bathroom was warm and humid the whole night.Dropped our stuff went to dinner came back and found 2 alive German roaches in one of the bunk rooms on the bed. Also a few more dead ones around the room. Not having anywhere else to go on short notice. We stayed that night avoiding the bunk rooms. During the course of the night we saw a few more live roaches in the kitchen and laundry area out in the open. Not that more needed to be added to this but the whole place just kinda felt old and dirty. Despite it looking clean. Small things were weird. Random old food in the fridge. No top sheet in the master bedroom. No remote for the living room tv. Kitchen stove was wiped down but not cleaned out. The roaches made us leave. But a lot was left to be desired regardless.

Checked in and immediately noticed roaches. Not water bugs like you would find at a lake, but German cockroaches. Not just big ones but babies which means there’s a ton. The Wi-Fi never worked, the shower never turned off literally ran hot water 24 hours a day. The other shower door does not close completely and you had to hold it closed while showering. The dining table is not for using. It is so poorly put together. I was afraid to set my backpack on it. The house exterior was filthy with broken glass along the walkway to get to the side door not front door. The deck was filthy covered in months worth of gumballs leaves and spiders. Until I cleaned it, it was not even accessible through the door to the deck. It looked like a Halloween decoration. The house smells like stale cigarette. The refrigerator was still full of someone else’s partially eaten food and drinks. I messaged the host about the issues stating my concerns and displeasure with the overall price, especially the large damage deposit. The place had so much damage to the kitchen and floors and appliances. I took pictures to document so that I can get my deposit back. This could be a very, very nice place. But the host is going to have to either fire their cleaning company or hire a cleaning company. Additionally, the surroundings are not the greatest with one of your neighbors having a trash pile in the front yard,so large it blocked the address for the listing.

The home was beautiful, very spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It was quiet and peaceful, yet still conveniently close to stores, restaurants, and other essentials.The fishing was great, and we especially enjoyed the large outdoor space for relaxing, cooling off, and spending time together. The property was also very reasonably priced, making it an excellent value. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the Jackson area.
