Lorsqu'on a réservé, nous n'etions pas au courant que le restaurant et le bar était fermé pour la durée de notre séjour. Aussi, lorsque nous avions ou ert notre lit le soir, nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de voir les draps souillés et tachés. Puosque la réception est fermée le soir (!!), il a fallu appeler au numero d'urgence pourque quelqu'un vienne changer les draps. De plus, pensant plusieurs heures, il n'y avait pas de cable pour la télé ni de téléphone. On s'attendait beaucoup mieux de cet hotel.

I can't imagine when there's a lot of people staying here because the bar area is small so it gets really loud and crowded. I think maybe they might want to do a better job of icing the area especially in the parking lot as my sister fell. Thought the food was delicious but a bit pricey was disappointed that the sauna was broken.

Clean room though definitely beaten up bathroom fixtures, dated rugs and a old moth ball kind of smell, rickety sitting chairs, room 11. Cute place over all, nice amenities unfortunately the Carriage House has no phones working and a lobby that resonates sound through the building. If you value sleep, rent a cabin. A water cannon for idiot guests who cant respect quiet hours would have been an awesome addition.

We loved the on site restaurant. The food was amazing, especially the biscuits and gravy special they had. We found a couple of cookies in the room which were delicious! The bedding was cozy and clean. Overall a great experience.

The stay was just average for the price of the rooms. Very clean, common spaces were nice (fireplace, Christmas trees in December, wood floors), but for almost $400/night, the bed was like sleeping on rocks that sunk in the middle, the gym was the size of a closet with no free weights (not a big deal to most people but it was to me), the pool is tiny and the hot tub looked dirty. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub but I peeked in as I left the “gym” area. The PROS of the property is that the staff was AMAZING, super nice and helpful, the room was clean and the jacuzzi tub was very nice after snowmobiling. The room was cozy but dated, looks nicer in the pictures, just very bland in person. The decor in the registration area at Christmas time was so cute and again, the staff was great!!!! I wouldn’t stay here again for the price but had a nice weekend away from the kids. Also, Yesterday’s cafe right up the road was a great breakfast spot!!!! The $18 “buffet” at the hotel had bread, French toast, home fries, scrambled eggs and sausage. Take the 2 minute drive up the road to Yesterday’s cafe.

The resort was great. It was very festive for the holidays. I was disappointed to find an empty liquor bottle on floor at the bottom of my bed. Also, everyday about 9-930at night my room would smell like rotten eggs. Alls that could be done was give me a can of Fabreeze. That was disappointing.

From the minute your step thru the door.. Christmas cheer abounds. The welcoming staff, cocoa, marshmallows and gingerbread. The decor makes you smile immediately. The inner child’s recalls Christmas’s past.. Pure fun and warm fuzzies. The inn itself, is old and charming in its imperfections. The food is fabulous. Make reservations. Take a complimentary shuttle to The Thorn hill Inn for breakfast. Nestle book is the go to for sleigh rides, skating etc. Special place..
