The facilities were dated, which I knew going in. But I wasn’t prepared for the level of decline: none of the restaurants/bars were open (permanently, it seems), the front desk was hardly staffed, the lobby wasn’t an inviting place to spend time. The room was clean and comfortable, as was the onsen (hot spring bath). But no meals was unexpected & a bit inconvenient. My reservation supposedly included breakfast, but I was told “no food” by the front desk (and I do speak Japanese, confirmed the food situation.) We made do with the nearby convenience store and found a local place for dinner that turned out to be great. For the price, the onsen experience was worth it, but we had to adjust our expectations.

修善寺のメイン処(は修禅寺かな)から徒歩10分あれば着きます。目の前はジオパークミュージアム(バス停だと修善寺総合会館)。近くにコンビニもあります。 一人で宿泊しましたが、最上階の和室部屋で一人では空間をもて遊ぶくらいの感じで布団は最初から敷いてあり、すぐ横になれるので良かったです。因みに、浴衣は部屋に無い(帯だけあります)ので、フロントデスク近くのとこから持ち出します。 お風呂は内風呂が2つの浴槽で露天風呂に1つの浴槽で、洗い場は沢山あります。お風呂のお湯がちょっと低いので冬は露天風呂がツラくなる⁈ ただ不思議とお風呂から出るとしばらく汗が引かないくらいになります。 食事は朝食のみでしたがバイキングで提供種類は十分、特にお味噌汁は出汁の香りが良かったです。 スタッフの対応はチェックイン時は丁寧な対応で修善寺辺りの情報も説明頂きました。また朝食会場では、おはようございますの挨拶で心地良く迎えて頂きました。 規制のおかげか何処でも静かで、全体的な評価としては充分であり、満足できる宿だと感じました。

修善寺での宿泊にあたり利用しましたが、率直に申し上げて、価格に見合う満足感は得られませんでした。 まず、内装の手入れが行き届いておらず、客室の壁紙に継ぎはぎのような補修跡が見受けられ、全体として経年劣化が目立ちます。ドアもオートロックではなくシリンダーキー方式で、外出時には自分で施錠する必要があり、セキュリティ面でもやや不安を感じました。 露天風呂は施設紹介の写真どおり綺麗で、唯一印象に残る点でしたが、朝食は可もなく不可もなく、いわゆる一般的なバイキングという印象で、特段の満足感はありませんでした。 また、入口付近の売店は規模が小さく、一部工事中であったこともあり、施設全体として細やかな配慮が行き届いているとは言い難い状況です。 スタッフの対応自体は平均的で問題はありませんでしたが、全体を通して、運営面や設備投資が十分に行き届いていない印象を受けました。 仮にビジネスホテルとして1万円前後・朝食付きであれば再利用も検討するかもしれませんが、今回の価格帯（2万円台）では再訪は考えにくいというのが正直な感想です。

立地条件は良い

修善寺の入口？で、近くにコンビニがあり便利。夕食は外で食べたが、周辺に飲食店があり立地は良い。温泉は湯船が広くて、ゆっくりとつかれた。朝食はバイキングで種類も豊富で良かったと思う。
