The staff had bad customer service. I asked for a manager and the guy at front desk with glasses, very young lied and said he was manager. The room wasnt clean and had to ask for toiletries.

The room looked good but heating was time controlled, so one hour after entering the room the heat was turned off. The staff tried to turn the heating on when I called, but it turned off again. In the evening the water was not warm enough to take a shower. Also, the lights were only turned on and off at the entrance door of the room. I used the flaslight of my phone to walk between the room and washroom at night. Also, the toilet looked liked used and not flushed before me. I wonder if guests stayed in my room for a short time before I arrived that day. I cleaned the toilet seat with my disinfecting wipe before I sat.

Great location to the ferries.

Bit of an old hotel but kept generally clean for the most part. The bathroom was quite dated however the back of the door was so dirty, looks like it hadn't been cleaned in years! Besides that the rest was clean. Towels are quite old and need replacing. Staff were quite friendly but couldn't really speak english so was a bit hard when i needed assistance on how to get around etc. Nothing was communicated to me on check in because of the language barrier such as wifi or when breakfast was. Bed was very comfortable and they had black out blinds. Even though the street is a bit noisy with traffic, I found the room to be quiet and managed to have a good sleep. Originally booked a hotel across the road only because I had a tour that would pick me up from there however this hotel was much better than that one.

Great location

In a very good location just back from the promenade. Lots of restaurants, bars, cafés. Room was lovely, clean, fresh. Staff helpful.

Some Incredible Mistakes

MYHOTEL in Izmir was an experience to be long-remembered. The hotel is perfectly located (seafront, restaurants, markets, bazaar, etc.) and the room was large, bright, modern, meticulous. However (and it is a big 'however') there were many problems. (1) The staff was no help is directing us to transportation. They were unaware of the existence of the train to Ephesus and did not even know the distance to the train station from their hotel. (2) Neither the TV nor the air conditioning worked; it was the bell-hop who tried and failed to repair them. (3) Though breakfast was included, a charge of 2 USD was imposed on each glass of orange juice. (4) No one, but the bell-hop, spoke a word of English.

Convenient but tired

My 2nd visit. As before, very convenient location near to ferry port and the many, many restaurants in the area. Bright and welcoming reception area. However, the bedroom decor is tired, fittings are missing or don't work, an electrical socket pulled out of the wall when I removed the plug. Although clean, the elderly tiling appears grubby. Kitchenette facilities are useless without any pans and utensils. No natural light, except borrowed light from a shaded light-well adds to the gloom.

Construction next door

The rooms have opaque window covering so there is no outside views unless you take down the shades and then they are limited to airshafts.There is a building underconstruction next door with constant loud noises. They are just coming out of the ground so will continue for a long time. Excellent location but other alternatives in same neighborhood.
