Disliked: Cleanliness
We recently stayed at this home, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. I almost didn’t book it after seeing a previous 1-star review citing cleanliness and the house falling apart, but I hoped the issues had been fixed, they had not.When I arrived, the toilet was clogged and overflowing, with waste on the floor, and we had to call maintenance to address it. The couches were stained, the outside area was dirty, blinds were broken, and there were broken items throughout the house. My sister had blood on her sheets, and my sister-in-law had blood on her comforter. The stair railings were dirty, and the boards leading to the pool area were broken and unsafe. We even had to put sheets over the couches to sit.The only positives were the location and the view. I do want to highlight Micheala, the manager at Wild Dunes Resort, who was phenomenal... apologetic, thoughtful, and even brought a bottle of champagne and a charcuterie board. Unfortunately, not all staff were professional; Ashlyn from customer service was rude and told me "I needed more patience,” which felt inappropriate given the situation.Overall, the house needs serious cleaning, maintenance, and care. Micheala's exceptional service was the highlight of our stay, but the property itself was very disappointing.
