Clean and excellent property in the heart of Isle, MN. Was a last minute booking and price was fairly reasonable for the timing. Much of Mille Lacs Lake is unfortunately private so we loved the State Park being so close for access to the lake. Kids loved Larry the Bear in the front yard and we loved the fire pit in the back yard. Ample space for 5-6 people and over the hosts attention to detail and decorative choices. I grew up visiting this area quite frequently as a kid and young adult and I am glad to have been able to spend time with my family/friends reliving old memories and making some new ones here.Only a couple of notes about the property . No places to hang clothes in 1 of the 2 bedrooms and water was very heavily sulfuric, but we were appreciative of the filter at the kitchen sink for drinking. Gas Stove hood is not vented to the outside which is concerning, though not required by current MN building code, there are health concerns with burning unvented natural gas and propane in doors. House was equipped with ample CO and Smoke Detectors so we did not have any major concerns about safety and did the major our cooking on the quality gas grill provided.Host was responsive to our questions during our stay and we will most likely book this property again in the future, perhaps for a longer stay.
