Disliked: Amenities
Room was comfortable but no availability for breakfast.
We had a wonderful room and scenic location looking out over the Bay. The bed was comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the wood stove. Great quiet location.
I like the location & the fact that this is pet-friendly. This place is called a resort, but it’s really a motel on the bay. The restaurant was closed & looks like it hasn’t operated in awhile.
The proximity to the water was excellent. The room was well appointed with a comfortable leather couch. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linens were soft
The word resort if misleading for 2025. Perhaps back in 1950 it was considered a resort for its time. Not only is the decor dated, so is the plumbing (low inefficient water pressure) as are the amenities. For example, when we asked for an iron, there was none available to us. Which was unfortunate considering you'd expect more from a "resort." The pillows were so flat and most of the windows did not open making the room warm and stuffy. The shampoo/conditioner could've been from the dollar tree for all I know. Which isn't why you visit but gives you an idea of the lack on forethought in providing a cozy experience. This is the 3rd time we've stayed here, each room unique and never as disappointing as this most recent time. Which is unfortunate because the staff are wonderful and accommodating. But it does not compare to the slapped on paint to make this place appear up to the times.
Great getaway spot. If you are visiting Point Reyes National Seashore, this is the best option for lodging. It’s close to all the interest points in the park, good access to the water spots like kayaking or paddle boarding. Very quiet. Our room is right on the water. When looking out from the room, it’s almost if we are looking out of the balcony on a cruise.
