The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were nice but not overly friendly. I have scored lower than I would as I was charged twice and had sent 2 messages about it and no one replied . In the end I needed to ring ti sort it out. Also I accidentally left a brand new pair of Sketchers in the wardrobe and when I enquired about them I was told that they hadn’t been handed in , which is very disappointing.

The facilities were clean and cared for. However- the design choices of the rooms make it very uncomfortable for family members, as there is little privacy. The couch turns into a bed- and was rock hard, so the person who slept on it was hurting in the morning. In general, we love Marriott facilities, but this is not a room comfortable for more than a single person or a couple, or maybe with an infant or a child young enough to not matter that they can see into the bathroom. We did not realize how far away this was from the city center, because the site parameters seemed like it was close and instead it was measuring from the airport not the city, so that caused transportation issues due to weather and changing train schedules. We had extra costs to get a taxi because there was not train and bus availability each time needed.

Great staff, comfortable room, great bed. Only negative was the shower. Water goes everywhere as the screen is not king enough. Requires a door as the cold air is on your back, More of a criticism than a complaint. Everything else was excellent.

Pros: Really nice spacious room with great bathroom, excellent mattress & bedding, good breakfast. Cons: Reception staff should improve their customer service skills. Upon check-in we were casually asked to pay extra for a sofa-bed:"Yes, you booked a room for three people, but for Expedia bookings it's an extra £30 per night for a sofa bed." We challenged that as our booking clearly stated the reservation for 3 people & that it was fully paid. Eventually, we were told that the comment regarding the payment was added to our reservation by mistake & : "I will remove it FOR you." No apologies for a confusion & the fact that they tried to charge us extra £££ for no reason; no excuses for the waste of our time, when all we wanted after 10-hours on the road, was to go to bed. Breakfast: Very poor scrambled eggs, in fact, the worst we've ever had; orange juice was also bad.

After flight was delayed on boxing day to the next day and no accommodation was offered by the airline the hotel was a welcome haven with two children under 4! Staff were friendly, room was spaceous clean and everything we needed. Breakfast was a scrummy and the late check out was welcomed!

Rory was very welcoming on arrival plus every other time we saw him as were other staff, didn't get names. The hotel itself was amazing to look at from tthe outside, room was spotless, had a kettle,nice amount and variety of teas and coffees, white sugar, brown AND sweetners. Couldn't hear any noise from outside due to the blackout curtains. Can't fault anything, would highly recommend and would definetly come back.
