Poel is a small island in Wismar Bay. It is in a quiet location and has remained largely unspoiled. Yet Poel is large enough for everyone. Here you’ll find peace and relaxation, beaches, and fun and games. The island of Poel is about 15 km from the Hanseatic city of Wismar. Although only a few kilometers separate the island from the mainland, Poel has a climate that is particularly beneficial for people with chronic illnesses.

The largest town on the island is Kirchdorf. Our vacation home is located in Kaltenhof, about 1 km from Kirchdorf. The beach at Am Schwarzen Busch is only about 250 m away, a distance you can easily cover on foot.

The vacation home was completely restored in 1999 and renovated in 2006. The living area is approximately 60 m². The house comes with a lot of approximately 450 m².
The vacation home can be booked for 2 people.

For a small fee, we can provide bicycles upon request so you can explore the island in a nature-friendly way.

Like all of our homes, this one is equipped with the latest technology.

You can vacation in our vacation home year-round. In the summer, the inviting beaches of the Baltic Sea beckon. Our vacation home is heated, so you can relax on this peaceful, natural island even during the rest of the year, take solitary walks on the beach, and enjoy your vacation.

The people of Poel are friendly. You’re sure to feel right at home here.

The price includes bed linens and all electricity and water costs. We do not provide towels; please bring your own.

Outside, there is an approximately 60 m² terrace with a built-in grill and patio furniture.

Of course, a parking space for your car is available on the property.

The living room features a corner sofa with an armchair, new modern furniture, and a fireplace. The house is equipped with a TV with satellite reception and a stereo system.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a stove with an oven, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a kettle, a bread maker, dishes, and silverware.

The vacation home has a bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed. We provide the bed linens.

The bathroom is equipped with a large shower, sink, and toilet.

Dining
A supermarket and several bakeries are located in Kirchdorf, the island’s largest village, just about a 3-minute drive away. All over the island, restaurants of all sizes invite you to linger. It’s not just fish lovers who will find something to their liking here.
The best and most relaxing way to explore the island is by bike.

Beaches
The beach is only about a 5-minute walk from the vacation home.
But you can even go swimming in the winter. The tropical water park WWonnemar in Wismar recently opened. There, you can't only swim but also pamper yourself in the wellness, fitness, or sauna areas.

Movie Theater, Theater
Wismar has a movie theater with 4 screens. In addition to the Hansestadt Theater, the Rostock Theater and the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin are worth a visit.

Other Cities
Wismar is the next-largest city and practically the island’s big sister. Thanks to the city’s proximity to the island, you can quickly find yourself in the hustle and bustle, at the movie theater, or in the city’s pubs and bars. When you’ve had enough of the commotion, you can be back in the tranquility of the island’s nature in just a few minutes. This blend of city and nature is unique and is particularly cherished by the residents of Wismar and Poel.

Thanks to the A20 highway connection, the Hanseatic cities of Rostock, Lübeck, and Hamburg are within easy reach. Our state capital, Schwerin, with its beautiful castle, is also a must-see.
