Numerous reviews stated this was a very clean place to stay. I very much disagree. Upon arriving to our room, the smell of old smoke and mildew was extremely obvious. I thought about asking to switch rooms, but we were with a group that had their room across from us and I assumed all the other rooms would smell the same. We went to the dollar store and got Lysol and febreeze. The shower had nasty mold in the caulk. The AC unit at the end of the hall had mold all in the vent. The pool was nice and warm and the kids loved that. Breakfast ended at 9am on a Saturday which seems really early. This was the most reasonable hotel in the area for a funeral we were going to, but I would not be able to stay there more than one night.

This property is grossly misrepresented in Expedia! It is not a hotel, just a cheap dingy motel off the highway! Please create a separate category for motels! We were tricked into believing this is a hotel!!!!’

Great Value and Unbeatable Location! My recent stay at the EconoLodge was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the affordable prices. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that doesn't skimp on convenience, this is definitely the place to consider. One of the biggest selling points of this EconoLodge is its prime location. It truly is the closest hotel to the casino, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to hit the tables without a long commute. Beyond the casino, we found ourselves within easy reach of a fantastic array of restaurants, catering to various tastes, heated pool and several parks were just a short drive away, offering a nice escape. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and we really couldn't ask for more given the cost. If you're planning a trip to Shelbyville , Indiana, where proximity to entertainment, dining, and outdoor activities is key, and you want to keep your accommodation costs down, the EconoLodge is a top contender. We'd certainly stay here again!
