Amazing room. Quant furnishes are exceptional and from the Great Depression. Bed upstairs is really close to a balcony that is open to the downstairs. Stairs railing is loose at the bottom and an issue to go to the restroom in the middle of the night with no lights. I’m older and my wife booked this and having that bathroom so far was a concern. The bathroom mirror was set for a man who’s 6’5 and she could not use it. Otherwise great room and amenities!!

Overall this lodging was a good value for the price. Pros: The room was very clean upon arrival. The area was quiet. It had a very large comfortable bed. Nice shower with good shower head and water pressure. Cozy Kitchen. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Convenient parking (next to entrance). Within easy walking distance to town. Good communications with host. Cons: The interior was dark (even during the day). Needs better lighting. Bed was too big for the room, limiting access to the closet and thermostat. This cabin (Ponderosa) needed comfortable outside seating. Other cabins had nice chairs outside. The ceiling fan did not work.

Needs some TLC

The king sized bed and pillows were comfortable, but we didn't use the stone fireplace because it wasn't cool enough yet. Check-in went smoothly because we used a code, not a key. The A/C worked well and the location was a short walk from the center of town. There were some light bulbs missing (over the kitchenette sink, the overhead ceiling fan), so it was very dim in the room. The reading lights over the nightstand tables were too dim to read by (one was strobing). The shades on the window provided privacy but did not block the security light outside. The grapevine outdoor furniture and the place in general exhibits deferred maintenance, looking overall tired.

We really enjoyed our stay. We booked the Cedar cabin. It had two rooms / three beds, a full kitchen (no dishwasher), as well as an table for four people. Price was very competitive with the market for the night we stayed. Me and two kids. Very comfortable. Easy walk to town. Our room had a dedicated parking spot with overflow parking on property if more than one car per room. Definitely will visit The Fireside Inn again.

We really enjoyed our stay in”Fern”. It was a charming well appointed cabin located walking distance from town. We never used our car. There were outdoor couches under the pine trees which were very nice to hang out in. Everything was clean and parking was assigned and right by our room. We would definitely stay there again.

We love the Fireside Inn, and stay every year when our kid goes to AstroCamp. It is the kind of place you almost don’t want to tell your friends about. Super friendly owners, very available as needed. A little routine maintenance in some of the larger cabins would not go amiss.

The bedroom needs room darkening shades. There should be additional in the living room and kitchen areas. The bathroom tiles are peeling. The living room is very spacious and has a gorgeous view of the trees. There is a normal-size kitchen.

The best thing about the home is being able to walk to the town. And the hot tub is clean and a great addition. Kitchen is big and well stocked. The only drawback for me personally was the big bison head staring at the master bed. I couldn’t sleep in there. So I slept in one of the little rooms. Also there is no window coverings in the big room so you are definitely getting up with the sun

I’ll start off by saying that the location of this property was perfect. It was walking distance to the main town which made it very convenient. Even with that, I would not stay here again. I stayed in the Redwood cabin and it looked NOTHING like the photos. The photos online made the room look trendy, hip and upgraded. Instead, the room was dusty, outdated and some things in the room were broken and falling apart. I hope the other cabins are in better condition.
