YES FENCED • 5 guests max. 1 bdrm/1 loft • 1 queen • 1 dble mattress in loft • additional detached bedroom with queen & camp toilet - only for you, not others. This room can be added for an additional fee. If needed please inquire with Melissa • 1 bth tub/shower • 1/2 acre yard fully fenced & gated porch. Industrial rustic 1950’s reno is filled with Melissa’s art, her hand crafted barn doors and extra artistic touches • 3 decks and 1 deck is eight feet high in the trees with hammock swings and a hammock underneath.

Emma and I are long time locals, are trained in interior design and high end hospitality, we have been hosting wonderful guests like you for years.

DOG INFORMATION (if you are bringing any):
We don’t have a weight limit but trust that your dogs are well behaved and will be wonderful guests in our beautiful homes :-) $25 per dog flat fee per stay.

WHAT WE PROVIDE:
• Fenced yard or enclosed deck (some properties) • 16 foot tether in the yards (if not fenced) • dog bowls • dog treats • dog waste bags • pet wipes (to wipe down pups after outside walks/play - DO NOT FLUSH) .
• PET FEES: $25 flat fee per dog per stay. That goes to our cleaning crew for the extra time cleaning. Instructions to pay are on the check out sheet at the house.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.

We were so happy to find a place in Idyllwild that would take three big dogs But it turned out to be so much more than that.We had everything that we needed besides having a half acre for the dogs to run around in which was fenced. We felt very comfortable and safe. The cabin is in a picturesque area where we took the dogs walking in the morning and in the evening.Only took a couple of minutes to get into the town center with lots of cafés and thrift stores and boutiques, even a dog store and a vet.Beautiful decks with lots of sitting areas.Very relaxing and beautiful and clean.We will definitely go back to the same spot next vacation in Idyllwild. I was very happy with everything and it was so pretty and cozy and I slept really well.

The host was great, very prompt and timely communications. Extra bedroom charge was 100, which, combined with pet fee, was a little on high end. The cabin was very cute, cozy and clean. I wish there was a proper dining table though for families to eat and play games- the one in the kitchen is a plank of wood that goes over the bar cart, and we were afraid to knock it over constantly. Good stay overall!

This was a fabulous home in the mountains; great location with a HUGE securely fenced yard. It was well-kept, comfy, and perfect for a couple. The upstairs loft would be great for kids especially I imagine.

My girlfriend and our three dogs had a great time staying here. The cabin had everything we needed, was only a few minutes from town, and the dogs loved running around in the large fenced backyard. The hosts were friendly, easy to communicate with, and provided a lot of useful information about the cabin and area. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the little house. My husband and I went for our 12th anniversary with our kid. They have everything you need to cook, a emergency mini bar, treasure trove of random things in the junk drawer and lots of spices in the cupboard. We had have fun playing the board games and watching movies. Very comfy beds , linen is so soft and the skylight in the bedroom is a great touch. Our daughter loved her lil room in the loft. Massive backyard and really fun to grill. We are definitely coming back !

Perfect Overnight Stay

Little House and its hosts were great! We stayed overnight to explore Idyllwild and were so happy about this cabin. The top nook is very cute and if we were kids, we would've loved sleeping up there. The bedroom was no less great, as it came with a bed warmer, fun light options, and a skylight. We stargazed from our bed! Backyard was fun to explore and reminded us of our childhood. Tried the bikes too but they do need some care. If we come back to Idyllwild, we're definitely checking this place out again!

Doggy vacation

We absolutely love your property!!! This was our 3 or 4th time staying at your lovely cozy home. Our dogs love the yard and I love the convenience of having my cup of coffee while the dogs do there morning thing. There is everything you need and far enough away from the city but only minutes drive. This is our go to everytime we visit!! See you in October. Thanks for everything!!!

LITTLE HOUSE IDYLLWILD

My wife and I along with our 2 small dogs had a short vacay in Idyllwild. The unit was immaculate and very dog friendly. It was conveniently located with a 5 to 10 minute drive to wherever we went. Nonetheless, the home was indeed “little” with extremely limited closet space and void of anything to hang clothes or store personal items. Moreover, we could not get the heat to function and it did cold at night. The electrical plug in the bathroom did not work as well. I did not contact the owner about these items because I felt they should have been resolved before our arrival. Overall, as always, we had an enjoyable time in the village. Highly recommend the Brew Pub, the Peak, and Gastrognome. Will definitely visit Idyllwild in the not too distant future, but pass on staying at the Little House again.

Great getaway

This our 2nd time staying here. Been visiting Idyllwild for many years. Nice quiet deck, large yard that our dogs love. Everything you need in the cabin if you like to cook like myself. And the bbq on the deck that we used nightly. We will be long term visitors, thank you so much Melissa for all you do. See you again soon!!

The Backyard is Beautiful

It’s very quaint is perfect for single travelers or a couple. The backyard is really big and it feels like you’re in the middle of the forest. The only drawback was the driveway is very steep, if you have a car it’s not car friendly. My car kept scrapping on the driveway going in and out.

Just GO there!!!

I didn’t even know where Idyllwild was. I took a leap of faith on a sabbatical, trying to escape the hot Texas weather and ended up here at Melissa‘s house. The road leading to the home is one of the most gorgeous I have ever driven. The surroundings are absolutely incredible and majestic. You can physically see the elevation change with the foliage and it is spectacular. I traveled with my two dogs and of importance to me was having a safe, large, secure yard, and this place was absolutely perfection for that. The house is as it is listed, but honestly, was better than I expected. Melissa has thought of every single thing you will need from top to bottom left to right. You will be in want of nothing. She is incredibly gracious, and very communicative and helpful. I felt so peaceful at this place. The nights were silent, the trees were magnificent, my dogs loved the house, I felt so at home. The town was incredibly sweet with lots to do. Lots of shopping, a movie, theater, grocery stores, gas stations, and incredibly nice people. I want to trade my Vrbo with hers in the future! Hoping she’ll take me up on it! Oh, if there’s any reason at all, you are questioning this house, or this place, don’t do it. Just go!

Great little house, big back yard
