Awesome location in the mountains

If you're looking to stay up in the mountains, you'll have a hard time finding a better location than this. Only a 5-minute walk to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead, and within an hour from a few different 14ers. One thing to note though, is that this unit is in a condo complex, and not a standalone cabin. I didn't realize this until after booking (likely more due to not reading the description carefully enough than a lack of information), so if it's a deal breaker for you to be in the same building as other residents, you may need to look at alternate properties. If you're fine with this, it's still an excellent property, and when I stayed here there were no noisy neighbors. Additionally, it's obvious that the host takes pride in providing an excellent experience, and even provides a basket of common toiletries in case guests forget anything.

Pros and Cons

Overall, we don't regret staying here. There are some big pros and some things that we felt could have been better. Pros: Wonderful location with easy and convenient access to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead. Nice kitchen remodel. The space heated up quickly and the bed was super comfortable. Quick responses from the host. Beautiful surroundings. Cons: We did not have cell service and the directions on parking were incorrect and the entry codes were not sent along with the welcome directions. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to contact the host in order to get inside. It looked like the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned (splatters of toothpaste/water) and there was dirt on the floors and dead bugs in the window sills. If you have allergies in basement/garden apartments, you may have difficulty sleeping here. It is a first floor garden/basement level condo. My husband woke up very congested. I feel the title and description and some of the photos are misleading. This is a condo, not a house on the lake (the picture of the house on the lake is the view that you can see from the parking lot outside the building). You can hear the neighbors around you and the folks across the hall very obviously have cats (the smell of cat litter and urine was very intense at times in the hall). I would not describe this condo as secluded as it is next to a big parking lot for St. Mary's Glacier and due to being able to hear your neighbors in this 3 story condo building.
