## Emplacement
In the Var, it is a city with 2400 years of history. This city is Hyères, about twenty kilometers east of Toulon. Nicknamed the city with palm trees, Hyères has preserved all its charm of yesteryear. To discover it, walk through the picturesque alleys of the old medieval town perched on the hill of Castéou.

Enter through the Massillon gate, which marks the entrance to the historic centre, then wander around to see old houses with colourful facades, brightly coloured stalls or a vaulted passage under the ancient ramparts. It is at the top of the hill that is the castle of the Lords of Fos, built in the eleventh century and around which the city has developed over time. Now in ruins, the medieval fortress offers its visitors superb views of the bay of Hyères and the massif des Maures!
