Buena estadía!

Llegamos en horas de la noche, habitaciones listas, limpias y ordenadas en el 2do y 3er piso. Las habitaciones correctas y con buen abrigo de cama para el frio de la noche...televisor para relajar. El baño algo pequeño pero no está mal, limpio que es lo importante! No sirven desayuno pero al lado hay varios sitios de venta de desayuno, jugos, etc.. A pasos de la plaza de armas y mercado central cuyo 2do piso está lleno de puestos de comida etc...sopas deliciosas! Se puede estacionar en la puerta del hotel...mucho comercio cerca. Punto a mejorar es dar tranquilidad al huésped en horas de sueño...

A good hotel for day hikes out of Huaraz

For the price, the Galaxia was exactly what I was expecting it to be. I stayed there three days while doing day hikes to help acclimatize to the elevation before going off on a four-day trek. They stored my luggage for free when I went on the trek. The service was good: they helped me book my return bus ticket to Lima when I asked for help. It's in a good part of town, about a five-minute walk to most of the restaurants I went to.

Excellent Budget Hotel

This is a very good hotel for its price. The staff are excellent, very helpful. The hotel is well situated so you can be in the middle of Huaraz in 2 minutes. I would stay here again.

Great rooftop view, tiny twin room

Originally we were given a room with twin beds, the room was so small it was only meant for 1 bed. The TV wasn't working so we were moved to a room with three beds. Where the mattress in the lower bunk bed was very old and worn, and I can usually sleep on anything. The room was warm however for some reason they had piled 4 layers of thick blankets on the bed. Average breakfast, hot water and wifi good. For a little extra I would have been more comfortable somewhere else.

Could be Better

The hotel workers were the best part of Galaxia. Everyone we met was friendly and very helpful, allowing us to check in early and arranging tours for our stay. Although the common areas were in great condition and the room itself was clean, the hotel is in desperate need of renovations. The wifi only really worked in the common areas and not in the room. The room carpet was filthy with visible dirt and stains and coming off the wall in some places. In addition, the shower (although warm) barely worked. I've never seen anything like it...the water only came out of two holes of the shower head. Although things were generally clean, there was a good sized clump of someone else's hair waiting for us in the shower when we arrived and that caused me to wonder what the red sheets might be hiding. For the price, it was a good value, but I wish we had spend a little more for a shower that worked.

In town but old fashioned

This is a typical Peru hotel with windows facing inwards to the courtyard,meaning that any noise is heard in the room. Fortunately the hotel was empty so I slept OK. They are renovating the entrance but there were probably other priorities. The staff are v helpful

Décevant !

La réservation se fait sur internet avec la carte visa, or ils n' acceptent pas le paiement par carte : inadmissible ! Les draps trop petits par rapport au lit. Pas de prise de courant dans la salle de bain, sol de la douche très glissant,. Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner dans une pièce qui ressemblait plus à un dépôt qu' à une salle à manger, re-inadmissible. Dommage car cet hôtel a un grand potentiel et fort bien situé.
