BEWARE! I stayed at two separate properties in Katy owned/operated by Haven Point Rentals. Both were clean with modern decor. I was only in the first rental for one night since it had a musky odor, and I noticed mold on the shower ceiling, and obvious mold growth around the primary bed A/C vent. I was in the rental due to mold remediation in my own home so it was concerning! I was told they would send someone to paint it. Really? I was placed in a second rental next day. That rental had bees hanging around the front door and a backyard camera posted to a tree facing the uncovered French doors. It could have been in many other spots for security. They had great website pics, but properties were unkept with bad repair jobs on walls, floors, counters, cheap,floppy cooking utilities, microfiber wash cloths, no cleaning supplies, and most kitchen items looked second hand. Since I was dealing with housing approvals through my ins co, I asked if they could work with me if dates changed, before committing to booking. They said no problem, if they could rebook it. Just before going to their third rental, I received clearance to go home. I alerted them immediately, asking to refund since I didn’t check in. I was asked to cancel my rental for rebooking. It was never listed as available for my dates, so I requested the refund. After being stalled, and given excuses over the last 4 days, still no refund. I would NOT recommend Haven Point Rentals. Unethical dealings.
