We enjoyed our stay at Independence Stay Hotel in Houghton. The hotel was new, clean, updated, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen along with the other amenities, which made our stay even more convenient. The breakfast offerings were modest, but it was a nice little something to get you started for the day. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would gladly stay here again.

Very nice stay! Staff very friendly, room very clean and maintained, yogurt/juice/bkft sandwich/powdered donuts were perfect for what we needed for bkft. My only concern was the more slippery shower tub for “older” people 😅. The bathroom and shower/tub was well done otherwise!

We traveled from Florida to Michigan and this was the BEST hotel we stayed at. The king size room has a full kitchen and the room and staff were excellent! The young fella at the lobby was super helpful and got us a room on the first floor as they have no elevator and this girl has luggage! Hotel was super clean and everything was awesome. Only wish was full breakfast.... If we ever come back to this area, no doubt we will stay there again!
