Rooted in railroad-hotel origins and paying tribute to the passage of time, Hotel Royal is a little love letter to the dreamers of destinations west and still-wild. The perfect place to hang your hat before tomorrow's adventure, near or far. Our pocket-sized getaway — poised at our city's transportation crossroads for over a century — is now your gateway to Toledo's widening horizons, and those beyond. Built in the 1880s, our building opened as a hotel in 1900 and served as such for more than eighty years. It then sat empty for the next thirty. We acquired it in 2017 and completely rehabilitated it. Construction wrapped in 2023 and it is revived and ready to be your home away from home. We offer five guest rooms, each with a queen-sized bed, workspace, smart tv, mini fridge, coffee maker, Quince linens and towels and Public Goods bath products. We provide complimentary ground coffee from our neighborhood roaster and shop, Maddie & Bella. Pets are welcome for an additional $40 pet fee per stay. A nicely appointed lobby and a patio with table and chairs are available for guest use between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Our building is secure. A unique access code for exterior doors and room will be provided prior to check-in.
