Magnolia House private mountain 2+ acre garden estate - in town, 7 bd, 6.5 bath
Hidden in the heart of Hot Springs, NC, our majestic 2+ acre, private estate makes a glorious space for gathering. Once the manor house of Hot Springs, the Magnolia House is a gorgeous, historic, victorian home that sits amidst tall trees, manicured gardens & fantastic mountain views. Luxurious spaces throughout the house and gardens blend modern luxury with old world elegance for an exquisitely unique destination retreat.
Our guests always love our property. We have many amazing reviews because we pay attention to the details. We love to care for our guests and we want this to be a special mountain vacation that feels luxurious and easeful.
Our 7 bedroom, 6.5 bathroom home is ideal for a large family, family/friend reunion or low key elopement (14 guests maximum) . The home feels secluded and away from things, amongst the mountain views and curated gardens. Although it feels private and secluded we are actually right in town and you can walk in to the heart of town from our private gated driveway, over the old red bridge and the Spring creek, in less than 5 minutes.
There are 5 ensuite bedrooms with bathrooms attached - which makes staying here feel more luxurious.
For groups who have more than 14 guests coming to Hot Springs, we also have another home just next door that sleeps up to 6 guests. Please inquire for details.
Magnolia House does not host events.
Originally known as the Rutland, the Magnolia House is loaded with Hot Springs history and was built in 1868 by Colonel James Rumbough for he and his family. Colonel Rumbough practically owned all of Hot Springs around this time and was the purveyor of the original Hot Springs Resort, a place well known for its healing waters and mountain tranquility.
