Unfortunately, the room smelled like dog when we checked in. We then found a piece of dry dog food on the carpet the next day. The smoke detector, a bed pillow, a blanket, and the do not disturb door sign were all missing in the room. Breakfast was okay, but there was no coffee available. The front desk and breakfast serving staff were all very nice.

Filthy room/Great staff/ Good breakfast options. The lake view room I paid more for was absurd. If you leaned flat against the wall, and turned your head a certain way, you could glimpse water. Maybe the lake, maybe the neighbors toilet, no one really knows. There was a couple pieces of old pizza under the bed, a man’s sock, and dried boogers/blood/something on the nightstand. The fold out sofa had dog hair stuck to it. Breakfast was good, but mostly cold because it’s in a clear container, not a heated metal one. Staff were very nice, and they made the stay super pleasant. They gave us advice on where to eat, what roads to drive on/avoid, and they were really, really wonderful.

Everything about our stay was great with one exception: the shower curtain rod was loose and the shower curtain wouldn't stay shut. This meant that water got all over the bathroom floor, no matter how careful we were with our showers. This was just a minor inconvenience, as we mopped up the water with extra towels. We only stayed one night, otherwise we would have reported it to the front desk. Again, though, otherwise a great property and great stay. I use a wheelchair and requested a wheelchair-accessible room. For the benefit of other disabled folks who, like me, have learned the hard way that some allegedly-accessible rooms are more accessible than others, rest assured that if you request an accessible room at this Home2 Suites, that's what you'll get. They do accessibility right.
