Originally from Horncastle now living in the USA, The Rodney is always where we stay when visiting. The staff are so friendly and the food is really great, especially the breakfast, such a nice selection. My only suggestion is that they need to put a small fridge in the rooms, apart from that, love the place!!!!

Charming hotel, helpful staff. Town centre location with parking at the back. Lovely coffee shop (No. 8) opposite and a great burger place (Franco's) a few minutes walk away if you want to eat somewhere else. Hotel's bar well run and stocked.

Lovely warm welcome. Room warm and cosy (211) with a slightly challenging lock. Very tasty roast dinner and breakfast the next morning. The little town was quiet but lots of pubs and little shops, plus riverside walks too. Would recommend.

Visiting from the States with family and lived in Horncastle always a great stay. Staff remembers us from our last visit! Food excellent and service too. I did miss the more intimate seating in the bar area as the couches were changed with tables. Lighting way to modern and hot ! We had a party of 20 people and were sweating!! Keep it cozy , it’s The Rodney not a Holiday Inn !
