The room was clean, and well located to town, but on the river. Very nice setting with lights decorating the grounds in a perpetual Christmas tree setting.

Check-in was great and thank you to Donna for helping me get to my room. Room was fantastic and very well prepared and clean. Staff was more than helpful during my stay. Spa services were fabulous and great message from Stacy. Food was delicious and dining room experience was 5-star! Such a wonderful stay over the weekend.

What a magical place to stay. It's nice to listen to the waterfall, day and night. So relaxing. There is live music on the weekends. Beds are super comfy. I like the historical hotel, even the old-time elevator. All the artwork is old, a reminder of yester years. Staff is very nice. The grounds are well kept with resident ducks happily enjoying the river that runs through the property. Lovely place to stay. It's on my list of top places to run away for a weekend. The town of Hood River is nice to explore as well.

There was no free breakfast. There was coffee and biscotti which was excellent. Beautiful river view from our vintage king bed room with the waterfall right outside.

All around great experience. Some things to take into consideration when staying in an old historic hotel… 1) Rooms are not as soundproofed. 2) Water and heating/cooling have a few quirks. This is no fault of the hotel- the charm, ambience and scenery far outweigh those unavoidable items.

Very neat place to stay. Grounds are beautiful and the hotel is in a great shape considering 100+years old. Got a corner room by the water fall to the Columbia River and it was spectacular. Wish the weather was bit nicer for a clearer view of the river and the fall. Sound created by the fall was very soothing. Bar was nice. Staffs were friendly and would stay at the hotel again!!

The room smelled moldy, staff were rude. Went to the spa for a treatment and the spa was a converted room. Our breakfast came out cold and the sausage was hard and could not bite into it. Would highly recommend not staying at this hotel is you want to relax.
