Historic hotel with high potential. Gorge view corner room was large, and bed was clean/comfortable. Spacious lounge with comfortable seating areas.
Extremely poor check-in process, with several people lined up, waiting. We received a room 20 minutes after stated check-in time, after having to remind staff we were still waiting. Poor customer service from several staff members and also the manager; an overall lack of caring, concern or enthusiasm.
Public spaces were not cleaned properly (i.e. stairway dirty/debris on carpet, dirt/debris on windowsills, beer cans left out near path to waterfall area, overfilled outdoor garbage can, etc. (these specific examples were observed on day one and still not cleaned/corrected when we left on day three). No vanity space for storage and no towel racks, etc.
Unfortunately, the Hotel Spa experience as advertised is not at all what is provided.
