One of Maui's popular vacation spots, Papakea is a peaceful Hawaiian Style low rise resort situated on 13 acres right on the ocean just a short walk to north Kaanapali Beach. The lushly landscaped grounds are immaculately maintained and adorned with red ginger and red palms. At dusk, every evening, the magical twinkling tiki lights are lit and reflect on the Koi ponds through-out the property. Papakea's location is as good as it gets! Within minutes, an easy walk to Duke's, shopping center, Farmers Market, coffee shops, sandy beaches, snorkeling and surfing.

Canal Repair Project Notice:
Papakea Resort will undergo a canal repair project from December 17, 2025 through mid-September 2026. Work will take place Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Guests may experience significant construction noise during these hours. Equipment and materials will be staged along the canal, resulting in limited parking in some areas. Holiday work is not expected.

We appreciate your understanding as the resort completes this necessary improvement project.

My husband and I loved this condo and resort. It was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and in the perfect location in West Maui. This condo had everything we needed and had a spectacular view. I’d give anything to watch another gorgeous sunset from the lanai.

Great complex and location

We loved the grounds of Papakea and enjoyed the pickleball and tennis courts, pool and large outdoor eating areas for our group traveling together. The unit needed at least one more comfy place to sit. One couch and a couple of hard back wooden chairs felt inadequate.

Perfect in paradise

We had a wonderful 11 day stay. We wanted a place right on the water and this property did not disappoint! We would definitely come back. We are big walkers so it was nice to be close to the beach walk and all that is offered along it. The grocery store across the street was convenient as well. Friendly neighbors and sense of community at sunset!

Just what we needed in Maui!

This condo and property were perfect for us in Maui. The resort was so nice - with shuffleboard, two swimming pools and hot tubs, and so convenient to Lahaina! The condo is nicely appointed with everything you need - and so much storage! The extras, beach chairs, towels, etc. were extremely appreciated! We so enjoyed the 2nd floor lanai - we were so close to the water and the ocean sounded so nice, we were able to see whales, and just relax. It was a wonderful stay!
