Stay in an exceptionally rare 1949 Silver Streak Clipper set in Devon’s Blackdown Hills National Landscape, right on the Devon–Somerset border. This is off-grid glamping designed for quiet nights, stargazing, and switching off, with your own private pitch, valley views, and a covered deck for outdoor living.

Guests choose the Clipper for its one-of-a-kind vintage character paired with simple, practical comforts: a peaceful rural setting, a sheltered outdoor setup with a firepit and BBQ, and optional add-ons like a wood-fired hot tub. You will also have access to well-kept shared facilities on site, including a modern wash block and a communal wood-fired sauna (bookable for a nightly fee).

A home to relax and unwind
The Clipper is set up for slow mornings and cosy evenings. Inside, the front of the trailer features a curved bench seating nook wrapped around the front windows, creating a bright spot to read, chat, or watch the landscape change. Step outside and the covered deck becomes the heart of the stay: linger over unhurried breakfasts, cook on the BBQ, then gather around the firepit as the sky darkens and the stars come out.

If you book the optional wood-fired hot tub, it adds a wonderfully rustic ritual to your evenings. The communal wood-fired sauna is also available to book for a relaxing wind-down after a day exploring the countryside or coast.

The Clipper sits in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, a rural, dark-sky pocket with woodland, winding lanes, and wide-open views. You are close to the village of Upottery and the East Devon countryside, with an easy, no-planning supper option next door at The Sidmouth Arms at Otter Falls.

For day trips, you are well placed for the Jurassic Coast (England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site), with fossil beaches, cliff walks, and seaside towns like Lyme Regis within an easy drive.

Getting around (recommended by car):
A car is strongly recommended due to the rural setting
Honiton (shops and services): around 20–25 minutes by car
Exeter Airport: around 25 minutes by car
Lyme Regis (Jurassic Coast): around 30 minutes by car
Public transport (limited): bus services in Upottery (including routes 387 and 682), with limited frequency; Honiton is the nearest rail station area for onward connections

Extra Charges
- Wood‑fired hot tub (paid add‑on): £100 per stay. Heated before arrival and includes two bundles of logs. Please note, if you’re staying additional nights, the hot tub will cool down overnight and will need reheating. Extra bundles of logs can be purchased on site for £10 each, or you’re welcome to bring your own. We recommend two bundles to bring the hot tub up to full temperature, plus two bundles per night to keep it running.
- Wood‑fired sauna (paid add‑on): £40 per night for 2 hours, or £60 for the whole night. Includes one complimentary bag of wood for the first night; additional bags available at £10 each.
- Extra bundles of logs: £10 per bundle. Complimentary wood is provided for the fire pit, sauna, and hot tub (if booked).
- Pets: £20 per pet (maximum of 2 pets).

Booking Policy
Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file.
If payment fails, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled.
Early payment is allowed; card fees up to 3 percent are non-refundable if cancelled.

Guests are not required to pay a damage deposit in advance. However, we reserve the right to charge up to two hundred pounds per stay to the card on file in the event of any damage.

Cancellation Policy
Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before arrival.
Fifty percent refund if cancelled fourteen to thirty days before arrival.
