As someone who travels often and has stayed in many real 5-star hotels around the world, I can honestly say that this Marriott is the worst I've ever experienced. It felt more like a neglected 3-star place at best. Cleanliness Issues: I was shocked by the amount of dust in the room. It was everywhere. Thick layers of dust and hair, debris that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages, disgusting... The mattress was incredibly uncomfortable, and the pillows were ridiculously thick. We tried the spare pillows in the closet, but they were all the same. They only provided cheap instant sachets and Coffee-Mate with a very basic kettle. No Nespresso machine or even decent ground coffee. To top it all off, the room had a strange smell, almost like a farm. Not what I anticipated at all. For a hotel that claims to be 5-star, this level of neglect is simply unacceptable. I was really disappointed.

Fantastic Clean hotel, with great customer service from the staff. Only concern was the bath style shower that wouldn’t drain and kept filling up with water during shower, and pricey restuarants. Although food & service were 5+ star.

What a place and culture in this hotel. You can tell it’s run and staff are happy. They tend to all your needs and nothing is a problem. Be sure to try the breakfast buffet, so good. Comfy rooms, great communal pool. Short walk to the MTR station. Super short walk to ocean park theme park and close to the water park bus connection. Great place to stay, even better if you have children. Ours love it and cannot wait to go back! Thank you Marriott ocean park for a very memorable family holiday
