The stay did not feel like a 4 star experience. Our original room was on a lower floor with windows that were effectively blocked out, making the space feel very dark and gloomy — especially as it overlooked a graveyard. It also had two single beds when a double was preferred, and the leather headboard was old and cracked. The room itself felt quite dingy, and one of the plugs didn’t work, and there was very limited space to unpack. To the hotel’s credit, when we asked to move, the staff kindly relocated us to a higher floor. While the new room still overlooked the graveyard and still had old cracked furnishings, it at least had better light and felt slightly improved. However, this room was missing a bedside table, so electronic devices / water on that side ended up on the floor. Housekeeping was a major letdown. The room was not cleaned for the duration of the stay, despite leaving a ‘clean me sign’ on the door handle. I even found a used floss stick left on the floor, which was quite off-putting. Overall, the service at reception was helpful, but the room condition and cleanliness fell short of expectations. If staying here, I would strongly recommend upgrading to a racecourse view room for a brighter and more pleasant experience.

The hotel absolutely does not live up to its star rating! There’s a terrible smell of dampness, it’s dirty, the curtains have clumps of dust, the common hallways are filthy, and the carpet is stained. The air conditioners are loud, and the cold at night feels even worse because of the dampness. Rude front desk staff (we were checked in by Grace). A completely unpleasant place — not worth the stars or the money.

We stayed 10 nights at Dorsett for our first time in Hong Kong. The front desk staff, cleaning and kitchen staff as well as staff outside guiding for the shuttle bus services were nothing but kind and welcoming. Very good location, walking distance to MTR, tram station infront of the hotel as well as the free shuttle bus that runs frequently to very convenient areas. We loved HK and hope to be back soon!

The room was clean but was missed being cleaned on a couple of days. The location was great as it was close to the tram line and a good walk to the Wanchai train station (MTR). Having the hotel Bus shuttle was really fantastic as it provided all day access to a number of drop off points on Hong Kong Island.

The Staff and location are great. Staff is extremely helpful. Great location to access transit. They also provide a very convenient shuttle service. Room's are ok. A bit dated and lacking in anything special. Wasn’t really anywhere to eat other than one restaurant which offered very expensive dim sum or very expensive Chinese dinner. When we enquired about dinner the Hostess was extremely rude so we left. I would recommend this place and would stay there again based on location and price.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the waiters and waitress were always greeting with friendly smiles. The location is convenient with some walking to MTR, but they have shuttle bus service that helps a lot. We highly recommend Dorsett hotel in Wan Chi.

Eerste kamer die we kregen had een vreemde geur en bleek een invalide kamer te zijn absoluut niet zoals op de foto’s. Na de eerste nacht aangegeven bij de receptie en Joyce heeft ons goed en snel geholpen ( hotel was vol vanwege een Black Pink concert) en ons een nieuwe kamer gegeven die perfect was. De kamers zijn wel aan de koude kant omdat er een airco aanstaat die niet uit mag en niet aangepast kan worden in temperatuur. Joyce heeft ons voorzien van een kachel.
