Great value for money on Hong Kong Island If you’re just looking for a place to sleep on Hong Kong Island, I can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience. The price-to-performance ratio is almost unbeatable. The rooms are small, but that’s standard for Hong Kong. The air conditioning isn’t exactly quiet, but it does the job. Overall, for the price, this is a very solid place to stay. Rating: 4/5 for value

This once great hotel is now sadly in desperate need of some tender loving care. The decor is so dated it prompts memories of the best-forgotten 70s and the air con in the room has shades of the finest Rolls Royce jet engines. Reception is bizarrely located on the third floor and the concierge is buried deep in what must once have been the garage. The beds were, however, ok and thankfully as I had ear plugs I had a decent sleep. Plenty to improve on though…

Location is dirty and hard to find but close to amenities. Air-conditioning is good but noisy. Bathroom is too small I keep on hitting my elbows on the wall and shower curtain keep clinging to my body while showering. Bedsheets are clean but towels are worn out old and thinned by use. Hallways narrow hard to maneuver with big luggage.
