Our Blue Heaven boasts one of the LARGEST PRIVATE POOLS on AMI!

Our Blue Heaven (OBH) is located on a corner lot in a quiet, residential neighborhood a short, straight block's walk to the white sand beaches. Guests young and old love the private, fenced-in backyard and covered back porch. Sit and relax rain or shine with a view of one of the largest private pools on the island. The pool has a brand-new electric heater/cooler to ensure that the temperature is perfect for you and your family no matter the season.

Our family purchased OBH from the family who originally built it in 1966 with whom we have remained friends. The home is newly restored and comfortable for guests of all ages. We are confident that you will find all the comforts of a home away from home and are proud to have many repeat guests with whom we have established very friendly relationships. We hope to host you soon and are always available to answer any questions that you might have.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, which features a private pool and a Smart TV. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a DVD player is provided for your entertainment.

Our Blue Heaven was the perfect size and layout for ourselves, our adult children and their significant others! The living room/kitchen was big enough for us to have dinner together at the awesome "vintage" island, watch a movie together in comfortable seating, and we added a portable table with a puzzle on it for everyone to do throughout the week. We especially loved the back porch and the pool. In the afternoons we would have charcuterie and drinks on the porch while still swimming and just hanging out! The decor is super cute (especially the little mouse holding the disposal sign!!) We loved reading the history of the house too! Despite the smallish size of the kitchen, we had all the utensils and appliances we needed to make dinner for a group of 6. The location is perfection. We could walk a little over a block to the beautiful beach, down to the dining/shopping area or easily catch the trolley to go wherever we wanted on the island. The vintage charm, the location and the great outdoor area is so unique and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

This was our 3rd trip to AMI. There were 3 couples, The house had low ceilings and was dark. It did have an outdoor seating area and a nice pool, which was the best part of the house. Two of the couples found the beds uncomfortable. (bedrooms 2 and 3) The kitchen was teeny and you might want to invest in a usable frying pan. Linens were plentiful. Beach was fabulous and a short walk. No restaurants, shopping in walking distance. Traffic was horrendous at all times. Overall will not return.

Heaven on AMI

If you are looking for a cozy home to rent on AMI, Our Blue Heaven is your place. Everything you need is there, and has been lovingly restored since the hurricanes.. The owners are a wonderful couple, and very attentive to anything you might need concerning the house. The beach is a short two block walk, shopping and restaurants are within walking distance as well. For days that are too windy at the beach, the private pool at the home is divine. We love Our Blue Heaven!

Delight

This house such a delight to stay in during our Fourth of July vacation week! It is difficult to find small but updated homes like this on AMI. The covered back porch and pool area were our favorite, but really the house had everything we needed and more. It felt like much more like staying in someone’s well-cared-for home instead of in a bland, characterless vacation property. And in the perfect location for the beach and all the fun of AMI. We hope to come back soon!

AMI family vacation

Our family had a wonderful, memorable vacation. Everyone enjoyed the pool, especially our water logged children. Location was key. Host communication was seamless. Any minor things are insignificant and not worth mentioning. Would definitely recommend.

This is an old Florida home with some updates. It is comfy and “homey”. Short walk to the beach and a great pool! Katherine, the owner, is a delight. A great place to unwind, for sure.

Fantastic!

This home is the perfect place for a family. The heated pool kept the kids occupied on the cooler days and it was easy to watch the children in the pool from anywhere in the house. This meant I could be doing laundry or prepping a meal while keeping an eye on the kiddos. The furniture was comfortable, too, which is not always the case in rentals. We will definitely be staying again!

My family and I visited 10/28/23-11/4-23 for a family vacation. We booked this property for being close to the beach, heated pool and it was cheaper than other properties. Unfortunately, this property had more negatives than positives. The positives were the short walk to the beach and the backyard with lights which had a covered patio that we ate at every meal. The negatives were no check in from the owners once we got there to see how things were going or if we needed anything, lack of communication from the owners, grill didn't work, TV didn't work which not the end of the world as we didn't go there to watch tv but would have been nice to watch a Halloween movie or two, pool was not heated as the listing said, the place overall was very dusty and did not look like it had been cleaned, the washer smelled very strongly of mildew so we ended up taking our clothes to a laundromat. Then there is the issues of the cockroaches that we found. At first it was only a couple which not the end of the world but then we had found one in a drawer with cooking utensils which prompted my husband to remove the drawer and that is where we found A LOT of dead ones. We had messaged the owners about them and the response we got back we didn't feel it was professional. We do not recommend this property nor will we rent it again.

A few unexpected things.

The instructions seemed to contradict check-in time, in one place it said 4 pm, and in another, it said 6 pm. We had no problem getting to the house and got right in with the code given to us. The instructions seemed to be outdated, referring to masks that must be worn on Anna Maria Island. That should be revised. I saw a few wearing one. What seemed to be the master bedroom and bath, there was a pile of bed linens on the floor against the bed with a note saying "Xtra master quilt & shams"; the top bed sheet on the bed was all wrinkled and looked as though the bed had not been changed; in the bathroom, there was a basket presumably for used towel one. The kitchen had every utensil a chef would and abundant china and glassware. We were disappointed that there were no "lounge chairs" by the pool. We got by with the large tubes. Katherine was very responsive when I contacted her to see if I had left 2 pairs of my glasses. In the meantime, I found them in my suitcase LOVED IT.

Great relaxation

Our stay was amazing, property was clean, well organized, and full of fun. After an amazing day at the beach, this was the perfect place to relax the rest of the evening. Owner was amazing in the way the one small hiccup with the property and stayed in touch above and beyond to see that it was handled. Look forward to staying at this property again.
