Clean and mainly comfortable with bad breakfast

We elected to stay here (Holbrook) because of proximity to the Painted Desert, and this worked out well. Our room was clean and in generally good condition, although it would have been helpful to have a couple of extra towels and more pillows on the bed. Mainly comfortable, but nothing special. The most negative aspect of our stay was the breakfast, which offered almost nothing that was fresh (processed eggs and meat, no fresh fruit, etc.).

Clean!

Very clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Decent shower. Breakfast was better than expected at this price point and it was simple but good. We had a good night’s rest and it was perfect for our road trip. Will stay again next time we pass through.

This was a really nice hotel to stay in for a night and go see the petrified forest. The hotel itself has friendly staff, comfortable beds, easy parking, a nice outdoor pool, and a nice free hot breakfast. One issue that we encountered was the opened area at the back of the hotel, which is convenient to walk your dog, but there are a lot of sticker’s that get in their paws. The caveat for this is a dog park that is right across the street. However, people do not pick up after their pets it doesn’t increase the desire to use. We did encounter one complaint. They were working on the stairs near our room, redoing the landing for the first set of steps and the cement was splashed all over the side of our truck and was dried on. Fortunately, we did not notice until we had driven away and gotten to the next stop. We wish they would’ve notified us so that we could’ve moved our truck out of the way. We are waiting to hear from the hotel on how they will rectify this situation for us. But for the most part, it was a very nice day for us so we could visit the petrified forest, which is about a half hour away. Also convenient for us was the restaurant that was in the parking lot area of the hotel. Decent diner food.
