This is our second stay here and we absolutely loved it, it was our wedding night. We were greeted by a lovely welcoming smile and congratulations from all the staff on reception. They then offered us a congratulatory drink (not expected ) but very much appreciated and was a lovely little extra . Then we got to our room , our room was lovely and clean , had an amazing view and another little surprise of congratulations in the room in the form of a hand written note and some macaroons . We went down for another drink and the staff were lovely and friendly , welcoming and kept checking on us that we were okay . Overall another brilliant visit , would highly recommend staying here .

Terrible hotel. The smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in Iceland and this was my third visit. There was only 60 cm from the end of the bed to the wall. No place to open a suitcase, no fridge, no wastebasket in the room, not even an elevator. The toilet was hiding behind the bathroom door. Such a terrible squeeze. I paid shy of $500 CDN for this and it didn't even include breakfast. Next time I'll stay at the FOSS. Beware my experience tells me this is a BUDGET hotel.

Location and view

Centrally located in town with great view over the bay. The room and bathroom is on smaller size but good enough for a short stay. The best thing is the location and the view. Friendly staff. The breakfast is very expansive even in Iceland standard. Price value is not as good when comparing to other hotels.

Great location but room is rather small

Excellent location near to the harbour and great restaurants. Room is rather small, especially the bathroom. Window in room would not stay open without a wedge on the hinge side. Good breakfast. No elevator.
