Stayed at Apotek Guesthouse and had a great experience overall. The hosts were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The shared kitchen was really well equipped with plenty of cooking facilities plus a fridge/freezer, which made self-catering easy while travelling around Iceland. Check-in and check-out were straightforward, and the room was clean and comfortable. Only small downside was the two single beds weren’t the most comfortable setup for a couple, perhaps the option of a double sheet would help keep the beds together — but otherwise a really good stay.

Clean and spacious rooms with large ensuite. Shared communal kitchen and other areas were well stocked and tidy. We appreciated the complimentary cereal, yoghurt, tea, coffee etc. as it made our morning that much easier ahead of a big day of driving! Would happily recommend this accommodation!

Spacious room with three separate beds, private bathroom. Huge kitchen we could use to cook, bake some lasagna, prep some salad. They had some yummy Jogurt drinks and coffee/hit chocolate machine we could enjoy at anytime. Even fresh, warm pastry in the morning, plus muesli and corn flakes. Enough for us. Across the street from Netto. You could easily walk to a restaurant or two if you wanted. Fellow travelers were a bit noisy, arriving late, but that’s usual in these guesthouses.
