Space was not very clean (Room or restaurant). Restaurant food was fine but expensive for the quality. Beds are very old so not super comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the area beautiful.

The couple we’re welcoming & friendly the room was clean but was so old & dated, definitely need new beds & linen, outside grounds are shabby, but they were good enough to allow me to cook a stir fry, everything needs an upgrade

Charming little find

Quirky, friendly historical venue. Everything worked well and although the building is tired, the owners and surroundings made up for it. We booked in for dinner and were provided with a warming, substantial home cooked meal and a Charming hostess. Good selection of wines. Lots of accommodation types available. Close to Richmond (walk or drive) and easy access to other areas. Beautiful scenery and lots of animals that any children would love.

Toilet needs updating, we had 4 adults had to wait 20-30 minutes inbetween flushing. We stayed in the cottage not the manor and it was a very cold night and the heating stayed on all night but we still felt the cold. Very pretty property and surroundings just the facilities need a bit of updating.

Definitely a unique property. It reminded me of staying at my grandparents house. Colin and Jeanette were lovely and helpful. The place definitely won’t be to everyone’s taste, but we had a nice time.

We were in awe at this amazing place and all that the owners have created. The cottage was wonderful, so beautifully done very clean and comfortable. The owners were just lovely very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be recommending this place to people back home .

Grand old Manor

The room was warm and spacious. The shower was good. Very comfortable and quiet sleep. Absolutely loved the animals and waking up to the horses at the window. Will definitely be back. Check in was a breeze and the couple were friendly and inviting.

This place is just absolutely beautiful -don't be fooled by the budget prices - they're undervaluing themselves. If you're travelling with pets, then this is the place for you it's large property with self contained cabins. They are set up for privacy This is authentic Tasmania - not cbd Hobart. It fees like you're in the middle of nature but you can drive 15mins- for access to all cbd Hobart stuff - everything is close by. I've been painting under a gun tree in absolute blissful solitude There's a large fully enclosed paddock, that you can let your dog have a good run in - this place is worth it - just for having somewhere for my dog to run the cabins are spacious, neat &tidy the owners are beautiful people - warm & welcoming this place has managed to counteract all the stress & worry of past few months - just with its tranquillity & lovely people

This was a nice place with friendly animals in paddock in front of units. We did have a problem with intermittent noise outside in the roof which we think required maintenance as it sounded as though they was something loose rattling.It was quite loud but luckily we were tired enough to sleep thru it. We did send a message to the host but had no reply. Large comfortable rooms with lovely decor. Loved the 4 poster bed.
