Set in the modern Stage Door Apartments next to the iconic Theatre Royal, this sleek and stylish courtyard apartment is perfectly positioned to soak up the best of Hobart’s CBD. Wonderfully spacious, enjoy stylish open-plan living and secure parking for two cars, while the UTAS performing arts precinct with its boutique shops, historical buildings and trendy eateries on your doorstep, and the docks and cosmopolitan Salamanca precinct are only a short stroll away.
Focused around a spacious open flow, the living area houses double lounges and a flat-screen TV. Cook meals in the timber-benched kitchen with stools, a dishwasher and a coffee machine for your early-morning caffeine fix. Dine inside around the four-seater table or make your way out to the courtyard, which captures the afternoon sun, to enjoy an alfresco meal.

Two large bedrooms sleep four guests, both with built-in wardrobes. The first bedroom houses a queen bed, while the second offers two king singles and the option to convert to a king bed upon request.

The sleek white bathroom features timber-look tiled flooring, while an internal laundry with a washer and dryer adds everyday convenience. Air conditioning ensures year-round comfort, and a secure covered car space accommodates one vehicle. A travel cot can be provided on request at the time of booking.

The Hobart CBD is only a 15 minute drive from the airport and it’s the place to be if you like being in the heart of the action. Step out the door and its only footsteps to the Theatre Royal, the Hotel Grand Chancellor, the Henry Jones Art Hotel, art galleries and an eclectic mix of shopping boutiques, cruisy coffee lounges, hipster bars as well as acclaimed fine-dining restaurants.

It’s only a four minute stroll to the riverside and the iconic Constitution Dock, famous for the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. From there it’s only a few minutes lazy wander to Hobart Wharf and ferries to MONA. Just behind that, the historic buildings forming the Salamanca Place entertainment precinct is abuzz with a cosmopolitan hotpot of bars, brasseries and eateries. The Salamanca Market, one of Tasmania’s most visited tourist attractions, is also found there. Open every Saturday from 8.30am to 3pm, it’s more like a festival where’s there’s live music and you can meet the makers, artisans, designers and producers displaying their wares of fresh produce from local growers, clothing and handmade products. It also has hot coffee, delicious breakfast and lunch options and an array of bespoke trinkets and gifts.

You really don’t need a car in this super-central spot, but if you have wheels, it’s well worth taking a short 15 minute drive to the top of Mount Wellington, experience the wilderness and marvel at simply breathtaking panoramas over Hobart City, the Derwent River and hinterland. Sandy Bay and Long Beach are only 15 minutes to the south and offer a taste of the dreamy Tasmanian coastal town vibe with some sizzling seaside lunch and dining options.

Perfect spot

Everything was great. Nice and comfortable. Well equipped. Quiet spot very close to town and the docks. Just had a little trouble finding the accommodation initially. Some clearer numbers on the front of the property and apartment would be useful
