Disliked: Amenities
Nice location - I went for a walk in the hills nearby. Breakfast was ok. The room had no aircon or even a fan, and so was incredibly hot during the night (there was a heatwave…) A cheap fan would really help make it more comfortable. The electric car charger in the parking area charges you per kWh (fair enough) but also per minute after 1 hour, which would make it incredibly expensive to plug in overnight. Can you change the pricing structure to make it more reasonable for overnight charging?

Conveniently located hotel close to the Autobahn 5, located in a charming old building. Lovely furniture in the room, yet the fixtures in the bathroom are a little dated. Comfortable bed, very quiet surroundings and free parking overnight. Definitely recommend, good cost/performance!

Dirty, shag carpets. Smoking everywhere. I got so sick my first night here and as soon as we left my throat cleared up. The dust in the room was insane and mold in the top corner. I felt gross here the whole time. They did not offer room service, laundry or dry cleaning as listed. The breakfast was the only decent thing.

Good hotel, nice service, just the rooms in a separate building with a short open air way to the reception and the breakfast room, which was not the best under the rain in the morning.

Fine hotel with a pool and reasonably priced

Fine hotel, helpful employee. Pool only open in the afternoon and until 10pm, so don’t count on a morning swim. Reasonable price.

I dont know what people smoked to give this hotel excellent reviews. The staff was fantastic but the rest terrible. This is a super old hotel with ZERO investments to keep it up. I am glad i am slim, because the shower is so tiny that you have to shower with the doors open if you weight more than 180 pounds. Internet speed is like dial in modem in the 90. TV is so small that you have to go out of the bed and sit in front if it to see something!

Good price, but a bit dated. Transportation options not ideal. Breakfast was excellent, but the room's shower head holder broke. I wasn't told that the hotel would be locked by 10 pm. Luckily I had a key. A phone number was at the door, but for international travelers without a phone, this is a big problem.

This was a nice little German older hotel in the center of a small town. Parking was easy and there was a nice included breakfast. The only problem was the heat in my room was not working and after hours there is no one there to help. It was cold outside, and I had to use the comforter from the other bed and wear two shirts to be warm enough to sleep. In the morning the man at the front desk said “yes, we are working on it,” which didn’t help the night before and he offered nothing more — but he made it sound like they knew about it, so why would they have put me in such a room?

I arrived late (It was like 1 or 2am) for my stay due to train delays but the staff both at check in and check out were not the most friendly. When I checked in, the clerk said he couldn't find my expedia itinerary (this is a property/expedia problem, please fix!) and he charged me again! Expedia later cleared it up, but when I checked out and got the refund for the extra charge the second clerk also stiff and unfriendly. Rooms were fine, but they had no "do not disturb" signs. People need time to get rest and get ready!

Good price, room just OK though

OK for the price. One of the cheaper stays around Heidelberg, service is good and breakfast is not bad at all, however the rooms are quite old at this point and could do with a renovation to bring them up to standard. There is no AC available, and so during the summer the room gets very warm and the windows had been kept closed during the day of our arrival which meant it was like a sauna when we arrived. In order to keep the temperature acceptable during the night we had to fully open the window, however just outside the hotel is a church bell which seems to ring loudly every 15mins, EVEN during the whole night. So we had to choose to either sleep in a very hot room or be woken up by the bell every once in a while. The walls are very thin as well. So if you want a perfect night's sleep it might not be the best place unfortunately. It's probably fine during any other time than in the middle of the summer though.
