Fall 2025 Trip to Lake Seneca

Awesome place along Lake Seneca. Ate at Sapalta our first night-Great dinner, muffins in the morning. We stayed in Yurt #1, very cool, I might suggest an electric fireplace for the cold morning, just had a space heater.

A wonderful stay at Plum Point Lodge. My room was not big but it was clean and well appointed. Everything was in good order and the hotel overall is beautiful. Loved the vibe and the people were very friendly. Only issue was Hotels.com telling me i booked one room, and when i arrived, i was not able to get in. The front desk clerk told me 3rd party booking sites always send the wrong room number. So he helped me find the right room and all was good. Just a small wrinkle.

Wonderful helpful front desk and restaurant staff. The chef , Dennis was great - gave us advice on wineries, places around the lake for lunch. Unfortunately the pool was closed for the season but the fire pit was great. Live jazz Music on the patio was a treat

This property was in a great location. Away from the main highway. Directly on the water. The rooms were client and comfortable. I loved the chairs outside the front door to overlook the property and the water. The location is so quiet and peaceful. Only complaints would be that you can definitely hear the people above you if you are staying on the bottom floor. I would have loved a coffee pot in the room. I did find out on my last day there that there was coffee and muffins in the dining area in the morning. We hope to come back soon!

Check in and check out were the easiest I have ever experienced. We stayed in a Yurt and it was clean, spacious and well maintained. If you want to camp but not camp then give it a try.

My boyfriend and I have stayed in the yurts a few times and we love it. It’s quiet, right on the lake. The cell reception is minimal (which is a nice break for the both of us) we absolutely love it here. It’s a short drive to penn yan for coffee or shopping or ice cream. Neither of us are drinkers but if you like wine, there are also several wineries nearby. Overall this is a great little getaway that we will keep coming back to.
