We found this property to be great for its proximity to the beach and the main shopping and dining district of Hilton Head. The remodeled Sonesta (special room type) was fantastic. Roomy, spacious, stylish in furnishings and very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and the pool area was a nice option to the beach. Our only complaints about the resort was that when we booked the room, considered to be on the high end of the room options, we had no idea that many of them on the southern side of building overlook the conference room building roof. The room previews gave no idea that this was a possibility much to our dismay as we always enjoy sitting out on the patio in the evening. Not possible with this type of view and we also had food smells coming up from the kitchen. Last, we stayed for 3 nights and house keeping never refreshed our coffee station. Luckily I bring extra K-cups of coffee and the machine was a Keurig coffee maker. They also didn't replace our towels when we put them down on the floor. They do however provide plenty for just two people. (And yes, we could have called housekeeping, but why should we need too and this was standard servicing.) Additional Tip: The Sonesta website actually offered a "Premier View" room option that Expedia did not. Just something to consider if that is important to you as it is for us.

We didn’t like all the fees. The bike rental was more than outside daily rate. The jacuzzi was not hot enough and the jets were low pressure. Our shower was also low pressure and the bathtub was slippery. All the staff were friendly and professional. The grounds were clean.
