Hotel clerk refused to check me in despite having pre-paid in full. Most disreputable and disrespectful hotel experience in a lifetime of travel. Paid Expedia in full with AMEX. But at check-in, Palmera night clerk refused my AMEX for incidental charges claiming their AMEX terminal "was down". AMEX told me their were no issues. I offered cash to cover incidentals but he refused.
Late at night, I was forced to search for another room which cost me 3x the rate of this one. Expedia refused to correct this, only giving me a partial refund. Stay away from Palmera and Expedia & Hotels dot com.,
