Shower title grout is pretty dirty and the bathroom seemed data, not sure if that's a retro design. AC was a bit hard to figure out and I ended up waking up in the middle of both night hot, second night I was drenched in sweat. The comforter covers are not breathable.

The beds were not very comfortable. They were too low and kind of lumpy. I know there's not much they can do about stink bugs but I killed four in the 3 days we were there.

Our stay was excellent except for a loud air conditioning/heat unit. Otherwise I would have given it an excellent rating rather than good. As others have mentioned a relaxing in room chair would be a welcomed addition, though not essential. The staff is excellent and the location excellent.

Old building, "budget" Highlands hotel

The hotel was pretty old. The windows were very dirty that it was hard to see outside. The shower handle fell off while I was showering, and there seems to be permanent staining on the tile grout. The "fruit and home-made banana bread breakfast" was only red apples with no butter for the banana bread (which did not seem home made and was pretty bland). There was no pricing for the mini bar. Automatic doors at front lobby entrance would have been nice for managing luggage cart by myself. With Highlands being a pretty popular wedding destination, I was surprised there was no where to hang my full-length dress, nor was there any iron to use to de-wrinkle. No glasses for water, only two styrofoam coffee cups. The rooms themselves were roomy very though.
